Our thoughts on The Drama, Flamingo Estate's Cult Perfume Oil & NYC's Best New Hidden Bar
Welcome to The Debrief, your weekly lifestyle recommendations pulled from our DMs, straight to your inbox.
We’re baaaack! And not just with a debrief. Finally, after a long six months, we’ve reunited IRL. We aren’t taking our time together for granted. We hope you spend some time filling up your cup with loved ones this weekend.
In case you missed it, the debrief is getting shorter. Instead, we’ve introduced a new vertical: Spotlights. Catch up on our first installment below.
In today’s debrief: we’re sharing our tried-and-true cleansing routine, a decadent perfume oil from Flamingo Estate, and the new reservations-only hidden bar in Bed Stuy.
Let’s get into it.

We’ve done the work for you—our top recommendations for the week.
Seeing | The Drama—We need you to see this movie because we need people to talk about it with. A seeming romantic comedy starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson comes from A24 (so you know it’s good) and has the most mind-boggling twist we’ve seen in cinema in ages. It’s a film about secrets and morals and makes you question who really is the villain.
Consuming | Sweet Rehab—After visiting The Met, a friend introduced me (Dominique) to this Parisian patisserie where the dessert tastes as good as it looks. I devoured a dark chocolate eclair and picked up a honeycomb pistachio mille feuille for a dinner party. Anything you order the pastry chef makes in real time. Oh, and if you have a sweet tooth, they’re open until midnight.
On The Way Out | 30-Second Face Wash—We used to rush through cleansing, but slowing down to a full two minutes changed everything. When using Tatcha’s Rice Powder (or Vanicream Face Wash, a tried-and-true) our skin actually glows, products absorb more deeply, and we can tell we’re hydrated from the inside out rather than just cleansed on the surface. It’s the one step worth being precious about.
Unearthing | Probiotics—Supplements can be tricky, but there are a few we trust. Probiotics have made a return to our routines. Seed for Dominique, and Pink Stork’s Lactation Probiotic for Lexi. We forgot how effective they are at removing bloat and rebalancing the gut.
Trying | Prinsesstårta Perfume Oil—I (Lexi) got my hands on this perfume oil at the Flamingo Estate x Living With Ivey pop-up in Palm Beach. At first sniff, you’re hit with sweetness on the nose, but subtle layering weaves in earthy Oakmoss, creamy Heliotrope Flowers, and a musky Amber. It’s the kind of scent that reminds you of being curled up on your couch with a cup of cinnamon spiced tea watching the Great British Bake Off, and you don’t want to leave.
