Happy Friday! Reporting on our Printemps visit last week. Considering the line around the block and the fact that they only sell high-end luxury goods—we don’t think we’ll be returning anytime soon.
In this week’s newsletter you’ll discover our take on the new restaurant Zimmi’s, our favorite coffee beans, and the new app we’re obsessing over.

We’ve done the work for you—our top recommendations for the week.
Seeing | The Last Five Years—next week, we’re off to see this Broadway show that follows two New Yorkers as they fall in and out of love over the course of five years. It reminds us of the Netflix show One Day, so think we’ll enjoy this.
Consuming | Zimmi’s—this hotspot inspired by the French countryside is a 10/10. Split the salade verte and the poached leeks to start. Follow up with the tagliatelle ragout and pesto fettuccine (pro tip: they’ll make it nut-free if you ask!). Look out for Bar à Part, their new café & wine bar opening next door.
On the way out | Supermarket Proteins—we’re trading the grocery aisle for the specialty store for higher quality meats & fish. Lexi heads to Hudson & Charles in the West Village, while Dominique favors Ends Meat in Industry City. For fish, we love Aqua Best on the Lower East Side or Lobster Place in Chelsea Market.
Unearthing | Copilot—Lexi here. I’ll be the first to admit, I had a shopping problem. This is the first budgeting app I’ve used that’s help me cut back. It marries tech and beauty, utilizing AI to categorize your transactions and features an eye-pleasing UI that makes budgeting feel less like a chore.
Trying | Aurner Eau de Parfum—this enticing new fragrance was released by Aesop a couple of months ago and we’re eager to test it out. It’s floral, herbaceous, and fresh—sounds ideal for spring. We’ll let you know our thoughts.
What are you trying or obsessing over this week?

Onyx Coffee Lab makes your morning coffee something to covet—a ritual, not a routine.
I’m not a caffeine addict. I don’t crave the buzz when my eyes first open and I’m not desperate for a morning jolt of energy. I do think of myself, however, as a bit of a coffee connoisseur.
Five years ago, when my husband and I moved in together, out went the Keurig and in came the Nespresso machine and the Chemex. He showed me how you make your coffee matters, from end to end.
So when we got married, we were eager to purchase our first “adult” coffee machine—the Breville Barista Express. Then came the next important question, what beans do we use? After lots of trial and tribulation, and let’s face it, deep Reddit research, we discovered Onyx Coffee Lab.
The Arkansas-based coffee company is known for its high-quality beans, ethical sourcing, innovative roasting, and commitment to transparency. Their mantra? “Never Settle for Good Enough.” Sounds right up my alley. The kicker? I had unknowingly tried their coffee a few times when traveling to Arkansas for work.
Pull a Monarch shot when you’re looking for something more traditional and rich—or lighten it up with a well-frothed almond milk. Test out the decaf Colombia if you’re looking for a caffeine-break or an afternoon pick-me-up.
The best of all is the seasonal-favorite Krampus. Keep an eye out for when it comes back around next fall—you won’t want to miss it. Happy brewing.
