We’ve done the work for you—our top recommendations for the week.
Seeing | Sirens—this one’s up for debate. Lexi couldn’t turn it off; Dominique skipped right to the end. Think Big Little Lies meets Nine Perfect Strangers, but with the premise of two sisters who pursued very different paths and a rich woman who is a walking HR violation.
Consuming | Pitt’s—this is a hidden gem nestled in Red Hook. It’s American fare, but with a southern tilt—all of the warmth, without the heaviness. Get the chilled mussels, cheesy rice grits, and the catfish almondine.
On The Way Out | Gel Nails—we’re breaking out of nail jail and embracing the shiny buff. Tariro Makoni put us on to this $200 nail horn, but we’re not ready to commit, so we’re trying out this $10 glass nail file. Maybe it’s a recession indicator. Maybe it’s a flex. Either way, naked nails are here to stay.
Unearthing | Normal NYC—Dominique here. It’s redecorating season and I’m on the hunt for great lighting. I’m checking out Not A Normal Show, a two-weekend shopping event featuring vintage home decor and clothes from independent designers and curators.
Trying | Saardẽ Hand & Body Moisturizer—I (Lexi) was traveling last week and came across this decadent hand cream—think clove, sandalwood, and cardamom. It’s already become a staple in my purse: get the Istanbul fragrance, you won’t regret it.

Menorca is calling and I'm hopping on a plane before it goes to voicemail.
My husband and I haven’t been on vacation in a year. I know, shocking, considering I'm a Sagittarius. This trip is about decompressing. I very much want to be a beach bum on the Balearic Islands with a book in hand, questioning why we don’t live in Spain. I might already be questioning it if I’m honest.
We’ll be splitting our time between Son Blanc Farmhouse and Son Vell. And as a discerning traveler, they check all of the boxes when it comes to my style of hotel—intimate, farm-to-table F&B, effortless design, and under the radar.
Our plan is to be spontaneous, but we have a few spots on our mind.
Hauser & Wirth Menorca—an outpost of the famous art gallery, but with a beautifully manicured garden included. It requires a short ferry trip since it’s on Isla del Rey, just off Menorca. I have a feeling I'll be collecting some goodies along the way.
Restaurant Es Tast de na Sílvia—this is a slow food restaurant where the recipes are apparently influenced by an 18th-century local cookbook. They also use antique wheat, which is hopefully a good sign for my gluten-sensitive stomach.
Cala Mitjaneta—this beach cove hideaway is where my bum will meet the sand and I plan to devour all of The Safekeep, which has been collecting dust on my nightstand.
Similar to our Portugal Guide, a full Menorca itinerary is sure to come, but at least you’ll know where I’ll be when a debrief misses your inbox in two weeks’ time.
